Happy new year, everyone! I don’t know about you, but I love starting the new year with all the Christmas decor back in its rightful place. It’s become a tradition on January 1 to put on some music and carefully take down each ornament, wrap it up neatly, and tetris everything together into a snug box before tucking it back on the “holiday shelf” (we all have one of those, right?).
My inbox, on the other hand, is not so tidy. I came back to a *lot* of emails on January 2 and a giant work to-do list, but TBH I’m enjoying this week back and looking forward to all that’s to come!
Also, I’ve been toying with the idea of starting a paid newsletter that incorporates deeper insights into the realm of media. It’d include my own personal thoughts and experiences, data-driven insights and findings, and commentary from editors, PR pros, and fellow writers. Is this something that you all would be interested in?
Here’s what I’m working on right now. Please do not respond to this email, but instead send a fresh email to wendyrosegould@gmail.com with any solid fits. (Otherwise your email gets lost in the shuffle!)

Martha Stewart: I’m putting together TWO image-heavy interior design inspiration roundups. One is on Stair Railing Ideas and the other is on Mantel Decorating Ideas. Please send a folder (or attachment) of hi-res images including the designer’s name and photographer’s name and I’ll be in touch. (Both will receive links/citations in the article.) If you could separate the two topics in your emails, that would help me out a ton!

Reader’s Digest: I’m currently working on a large editing project related to stain removal/cleaning. If you reached out in the last newsletter I have your email. If you’re seeing this for the first time, please reach out with your best pros!
