Let me take you back to early 2023, a few months after ChatGPT launched, and the world was in a daze. I won’t lie. That initial gut reaction to the advent of ChatGPT was an “Ohhh no…no, no, no, no—this isn’t good!” feeling, and it resulted in a number of restless nights.
But since its debut, I've realized a few things that have brought me quite a bit of peace (and even excitement) about our Brave New World. There are even some very specific ways in which I think AI bots like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Copilot might just be a serious boon to the media industry—creating a sort of digital renaissance, if you will.
